Proverbs 23:7(a) says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” and Proverbs 4:23 says “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”
I have heard a lot of arguments for the movement called Black Lives Matter in the United States of America. The arguments are predominantly about inequality based on race/skin color. I have heard the arguments taken as far back as the slave trade era and segregation era in America; the oppression of the African-American people.
I also have watched on news cable TV’s and read articles about the BLM(as it is commonly phrased) activities; the riots, the arson(burning of churches but not mosques, burning of other buildings, etc), destruction to privately owned properties and businesses owned and ran by fellow African-Americans, physical assault to fellow African-Americans(both elderly and children) and verbal insults and intimidation to people who don’t believe in the BLM cause(which i still don’t know what it really is). Lastly and top of it all, I have seen the outright death/murder of African-Americans in the course of this crusade by those championing the movement(riots)
According to reports, this whole movement or protest started with the death of a African-American called George Floyd when he was been arrested by Policemen especially Caucasian(White)Policemen. The allegation is that Caucasian(White) Policemen “specifically” target to intimidate, harass and arrest “Innocent and hardworking” African-Americans because of the color of their skin alone and in some extreme cases, they even murder them.
But what really drew my attention to this movement and all its activities is the fact that they blame their current President for everything. Because he is Caucasian by race, they blamed him for all the killings done by Caucasian Policemen on African-Americans. They allege what they call “Systemic Racism”. That racism is in their system of governance, thereby giving privileges to Caucasian(White) people whilst oppressing the African-American. There is no equality and justice and President Trump is like a “catalyst” that has further enshrined this racism. The accusation aroused my curiosity because I have been following the United States politics for a while now. So I did some research.
Join me in Yes, Black Lives Matter 2 for my findings.
