Constants of God

God is capable of functioning multi-dimensionally and has infinitely unimaginable ways of getting anything He desires done which implies that we don’t know which particular way He is going to adopt in addressing an issue and He can change His mind at any given time (and of course without notice to us or permission from us)……Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts….”

Look at the miracles of our Lord Jesus and you cannot pin Him down to a pattern. For instance, in Mark 8:22-25 Jesus heals the blind by spitting on the man’s eyes and putting his hand on him but in Mark 10:46-52(blind Bartimaeus story) he did not touch him at all. He just said in verse 52… “go, said Jesus, your faith has healed you and immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.” but we notice that for some reason He chooses to stick to a pattern over some cases…Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

I call this the Constants of God. These are certainties that even an Atheist knows about our God, hence they are called fools in Psalms 14:1

Constants like:

  • God is Merciful. He never rejects a Repentant Soul.. He could but He does not no matter the sin…Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Meaning, no matter how grievous your sin is, if you come to Jesus with a genuine repent heart, He will forgive you, cleanse you and accept you.
  •
  • God is love (1st John 4:8). He loves regardless of one’s circumstance and position in life…Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us….” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” and also Matthew 5:45 “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”. God is love and a loving being. He is not out to destroy us but to save us. If God wanted to destroy us, who can stop Him? He would have done it already.
  •
  • God’s word is reliable (Proverbs 30:5). If God says a thing, He means it and it will happen the way He has said it and when He said. His word is worthy of placing your entire existence on…. Numbers 23:19“God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”. Remember the Bible says in John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” There are no lies with/in Jesus/God. Remember Genesis 8:22“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease”. In addition, it has been like that and will be like that always… Isaiah 55:11 “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it”

  • You have no reason to disbelieve, doubt nor stay away from Jesus. Come to Jesus with all your fears, worries and doubts. He will welcome you into His Kingdom here on earth and as you love and trust Him daily, He will give you rest.
  •
  • Pray with me:
  • Lord Jesus, there are many things I don’t understand and many things that aches my heart…things that saddens me, makes me feel guilty and ashamed…my past and my struggles…Lord, I come before you today, I agree that you are Merciful, so have mercy on me. I agree you are a loving God, please love me unconditionally. I agree your word is reliable, grant me the grace to trust your word completely in Jesus name I pray…Amen.
