Do you why I love the bible, it’s unadulterated and real…i believe God made it so So that we can understand that He understands us better than we understand ourselves.

Let’s consider John The Baptist. He was an outstanding personality and Jesus never minced words over his commitment to the Kingdom and love for God but what is interesting is that this commendation never wavered even when John himself wavered in his belief about who Jesus is.

Matthew 11:2‭-‬3 says “When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”

Even at this question from John, Jesus never condemned him but rather still commended him.

I believe Jesus understood the pressures and storms of life that John(You and i) was/are facing and knew they could make a man question his own belief.

In Mark 9. A boy possessed by an unclean spirit could not be healed by the disciples and when they brought the boy to jesus, Jesus commented on the unbelief of that generation and them delivered the boy from the demon and in Mark 9:4 the bible says  “Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

The unbelief of the man did not stop Jesus from doing good to the boy… Acts 10:38  “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”

Matthew 7:7 says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you… very True but there are instances where Jesus/God overlooked this principle and did the opposite.

In Luke 13:10‭-‬13‭, ‬16  the bible says  “On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”  Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.  Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

Jesus healed that woman without her asking nor seeking nor knocking for it…Why?

Why does God bother so much in knowing, understanding and helping us despite our short comings..? So much so that He sent His only Son to come, suffer for us and die for us so that He might u understand us better.. .Hebrews 4:15 “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.”

The answer is in a verse of the scripture that has almost become a Cliche to many but a foundational and fundamental truth…John 3:16…“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

That’s why He cares so much for you even if you don’t feel it, understand it or know it…He does.

Prayer….King of kings, Awesome God, grant us the grace to constantly remember Your love for us no matter our errors and unbeliefs because there in lies our restoration back to You ….in Jesus name..Amen
