GOD’S WILL FOR SIN AND SINNERS
What is the Will of God for Sin and Sinner? I critical study of the Word of God reveals that God created our life and view’s our life in relationship with Him from only TWO SIDES and not multiple angles yet Himself has unimaginable multi -dimensional and multifaceted sides and angles unfathomable by us.
To God, we are either on the right or the left, there is no middles or other places…Revelation 3:15-16
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
That understood, so the question what is God’s will for Sin…God’s will for sin is that it be FORGIVEN…that is the reason why God sent His only Son, Jesus to come and die for us…John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
At this point,a difference must be made between Sin and a Sinner…A person is called a Sinner because he has sin in him/her and has not expunged it from his/her..Jesus came to help us expunge sin from our lives…Only Jesus can do that and He did through His death on the Cross and the shedding of His blood on the cross and grace released to us by His death and the help of the Holy Spirit…and the person must accept Jesus’ help willingly and live by Jesus’ dictates and words..Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
But when a man does not accept the sacrifice of salvation that Jesus made for him, he remains a sinner…John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
So like earlier mentioned, God sees things from two sides,Sin and Sinner…For Sin, He will forgive but Sinner He will PUNISH. So everyone man who accepts Jesus is not a sinner and so avoids God’s wrath and punishment…Note::even if you give your life to Jesus and continue in sin, you are still a sinner to Him and so subject to Punishment.
The Book of Joel starts in Chapter One to describe the calamity of financial hardship on the economic of the nation of Israel in Joel 1:4
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten* and then political hardship of been ruled by a strange and wicked nation…*Joel 1:6*
For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion
And then the subsequent misfortunes and troubles Israel was engulfed that were overwhelming.
What is instructive is the approach to the ROOT-CAUSE of the problems… see what God says in Joel 2:12-13
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil
God’s solution is to repent of Our Own Sinful Ways and punishment will be averted…Joel 2:19-20
Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Lord send us the Spirit of Holiness and Righteousness and cause out hearts to repent from our sins.
